A newer generation of tools has the right instinct: suppliers will not adopt a portal, so parse their email replies instead. We agree with the premise, and APIXX Supplier Collaboration does exactly that.
Where we differ is that we do not treat it as the only option. Email parsing is excellent for a supplier who sends a clear sentence. It is a poor fit for a supplier who needs to split a line three ways, upload a certificate of insurance, check what they already shipped, or see whether last month's invoice was paid.
